Background
In 1979 the Founder of Action Packaging,
Inc., Doug Rice, was working at the family business, Rice
Packaging, Inc. and was upset that their label suppliers could
not deliver labels quickly. Through an error, a critical label
had been overlooked when a group of labels were ordered. "I need
them by Thursday for a customer's job!" he exclaimed to the
printer, "And we're out." The printer responded, "well, we're
kind of behind, how about early next month? You know, our normal
delivery time is four weeks, and we will get them to you in
two."Thus was founded the burning desire that
exists today in Action Packaging: do what the others say you
can't. From that day forward, the Company motto has been "Action
Packaging is Response!"
Today, Action Packaging Systems, Inc. is a
dynamic, growing company in the label printing industry. The
company has created an industry presence by offering rapid
response to requests for quotations, quality products and
systems solutions to its customers' needs.
